One example of this was adding a steal beam to open up the 2nd and 3rd floors to create an open floor plan and extra square footage. The new beam also provided structural support for the roof-top deck (see below as steel beam is inserted through side doorway) and stair tower. A number of manufacturers and material providers were used.
Some cabinetry was provided by Luke Stauffer Custom Amish Cabinets, countertops were Cambria Stone, Andersen Windows, Emtek door hardware, yellow pine flooring, Hinkley electric fixtures, GE Café appliance series, LK sinks, Azek PVC trims, Hardie board and batten were all utilized.
In the bathrooms and closets, Custom EZ closet was helpful, some custom bathroom vanities were also built by Luke Stauffer, along with Pottery Barn bathroom vanities.
Removing the French Provincial birds nest balusters throughout the original stairwells, and adding a new craftsman style stair tower, beautifully married each floor throughout the interior into a seamless home renovation.
And finally, the large, 30’x12’ rooftop pergola design, rectangular cut outs in the glass railing to minimize wind shear, and simple details found throughout the exterior of this waterfront home helped elevate the style from traditional to modern. These customers were elated with the outcome.
