Pine Road Major Renovation in Selbyville DE
The owner’s desire to turn a traditional structure into a modern home, inside and out was a top priority. One example of this was adding a steal beam to open up the 2nd and 3rd floors to create an open floor plan and more square footage. The new beam also provided structural support for the roof-top deck and stair tower. Removing the French Provincial bird nest balusters throughout the original stairwells, and adding a new craftsman style stair tower, beautifully married each floor in this renovation. The large, 30’x12’ rooftop pergola design, detailing and installation had to be perfect since it sat high up on a 4th story roof and high winds can occur throughout the year in this location. Rectangular cut outs in the glass railing were used to allow minimal wind shear and add to the overall aesthetic. Each well-planned detail throughout this remodel helped transform this home.
